Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) opens its gates to the public on Friday and make its labs and research work accessible to all. The aim is to create interest in Pure Science among school and college students.
The public can walk into any department between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and learn about the research work being done there. Among the activities are live experiments, demonstrations of scientific phenomena, exhibitions of cutting-edge equipment and research, lectures on popular science, archival material on the institute and games.
